Fun in the Sun

Cade and I took a six hour road trip to Weiser. We had lots of fun. We started off our trip on Thursday and drove down on the Idaho side. We stopped in New Meadows and tested out Zim’s Hot Springs and ate a subway sandwich. We met up with the family and the next day I visited some of my high school teachers as Cade was running on the track. Later we met up with family at a branding. Through the hole branding Cade was thinking of ways to make the process more efficient. Later I went with my brothers and moved some cows. Love it!! The next morning we woke up and sorted the sheep for cutting and docking. All weekend was hot and we both got sunburns. After docking Kassee, Cade, and I went to the movies to see Star Trek. We liked it. Then we met up with the family at the Payette swimming pool. It was nice, I think all my brother Klave’s in-laws were there for a family get together and we had all but my brother Heath and his wife Aaron there. We took off the next day and stopped in Tri-Cities went to church and hung out with family. Then I made it back for my club volley ball BBQ.

For our Memorial Day weekend we drove four hours to met friends and family in Packwood for
camping and having fun finding junk at the big flea market. We ate great junk food and found special treasures. We took our bikes and also rode on motorbikes but best of all we just hung out.

We had a fun surprise for Carily’s birthday before we left. A man that was singing down at a restaurant came and sang to her at our camp site. Cade also played along with him for one song. Everyone in the Mayfield family was there but Jordan, Raleigh, Kellen, Eric, Erin, and Kate. We missed them. Till the next event, that is going to be the 31st of May Caden is going to be competing in a triathlon if anyone wants to come and cheer him on.

To start off, we are excited for good weather!!! We have been having fun and enjoying the sun today. Cade and I decided to take a trip to Palouse Falls with our friends. We hiked around the back of the falls to look off the fall. I’m glad that we didn’t fall over the edge when our knees got week while looking over the side.

We hiked on the inside of the bowl of the falls and found a way out that we didn’t know about. So we used out rock climbing skills and got out, and we had a delicious picnic to finish. After dropping off our friends, we saw a moose, deer, and a bunch of baby geese.

We have been hanging out with friends and finishing up our last quarter before the summer. We are still working on campus. I have finished off my club volleyball season with a trip to Kansas City Missouri for Nationals and a tournament at UOI. I had a great time with friends.

We spent our spring break taking a four day trip up the Washington cost with our friends the Coulsons and Cade spent the rest of the week in Kennewick. We enjoyed house sitting my bosses amazing house.

For Valentine’s Day Caden took me on a scavenger hunt from Cheney to Spokane. Sooo Cute and creative!!!! We went also and got massages and ate dinner at wolf lodge in Idaho. We went to a Spokane Chiefs hockey game vs. the Tri-City Americans. Cade lost our bet on who would win the game and he got to clean the whole apartment. We are staying busy and having fun living life.

Till next time. Kellade

Long time no blog

well kellee was supposed update this a while ago but it looks like i am going to have to step up. the last blog was from halloween! since then we have had thanksgiving and christmas and new years, and Saturday is valentines day. for thanksgiving kellee enjoyed time in weiser while i held down the fort in cheney. christmas we enjoyed time with the mayfield, hayter, fiander family in kennewick. me and kellee got a new gps which we love, it also plays movies! we had an awesome time at the family auction where we bought some nice inexpensive items. we got a new juicer, which i think erin is still peeved about. and we bought a handfull dvds which last about halfway through the movie and then they start skipping(compliments of josh and teri). so i have watched about 20 movies which i dont know the ending to. i guess ill never know what happens. the new years party was sweet, however we got jipped for the second year in a row, now im happy that we didn't pay.....just kidding we payed...? anyway school is going good, i have a relatively easy quarter and kellee has a relatively harder quarter. i love it! hahaha...eat that kellee. again im kidding...? but kellee is almost done with her communications degree and i still have 2 years left with my engineering degree. so all is well...Mayfield out!

Halloween!!!!!!!!

well summer has come and gone. kellee and i are in our 6th week of school now. kellee is just about done and is very excited to make lots of money for cade. I (cade) am working on my engineering degree and am enjoying it thus far. kellee has started playin volleyball again for the eastern club team and will have some games if anyone is interested in watching. i have started a new hobby called "fishing". im actualy trying out my new pole today.
since we got back from michigan we have stayed fairly busy. me and my budy cody hawes sang a few songs for a church party and have been asked to play and sing at a stake ball. we had a pretty good time but i was glad when it was over. well halloween was last night and it was sweet. kellee was a pregnant lady going into labor and i was her doctor. by the end of the night she had given birth to a sex neutral pillow. first we went to trunk or treat where we did some sweet decoration on the xb and then we threw a party and watched a freaky movie. it was a good night. oh and kellee's water broke when jeremy jumped out of the back of our car and scared her. oh and so did cody's when i jumped out of the bushes.

east side

well me and kellee are having a great time over on the east side. we landed in chicago on the 2nd and spent a while trying to get our rental car. we had to hop on the subway and cruise through the city for about an hour or so, and then we caught a cab. it was pretty cool being in downtown chicago and seeing all the old buildings. so we drove to lansing and spent a few days with a member named sister johnson. she always fed me and took care of me on the mission. we went and saw the street family which is a family the i had baptized about 4 years ago. all the kids had really grown up. being back in the mission has been really interesting. two worlds are collinding. my mission life and my home life. well we left lansing and headed over to niagra falls where we met jordan and raleigh. niagra falls was great. its really misty and the falls are huge. there were people from all over the world there. kellen and eric are getting big and eric is talking more. kellen was yelling at the cars crossing the border saying,"WELCOME TO AMERICA!" today we went to a few church sites. first we went to the hill cummorah in palmyra. it was very steep and i think i found where the plates were really burried. it was really cool connecting what i read with what i was seeing. we also went to the smith houses where a lot of great things happened. josephs vision of moroni in his bedroom and where joseph hid the plates in his own house. the sacred grove was amazing. the whole time i try to put myself in josephs place. some of the things he may have thought were," man this hill is steep." "if these plates are actually here it proves that im not crazy." so it was really cool being and walking where joseph walked. we still have a long trip ahead of us and will post againg later.

summer update

me and kelle are having a blast this summer. we have been more active than ever. lately me and kelle have both gotten into tennis. we love it! two weeks ago we made a trip to the silverwood amusement park. it was awesome. we rode all the good rides including the new aftershock! it was the scariest ride i have ever been on but it was sweet. it did however make me and some others sick. kellee was a little freaked out and cried before we got on. and our friend linley coulson cried during and after. the other day me and kellee renter a nice digital slr from the school and went out and took some pics. the top picture is one of them. we had a great time. we also stopped and watched a pow wow for a little bit. we have done some balloon launching and some outdoor movies too. sadly our good friends the coulsons have moved to seattle. but we plan on visiting them soon. however, the climax of our summer is coming in a week. we are heading to michigan for two weeks. michigan is where i served my mission if you diddnt know. we are both excited and will write an update when we get back.
